Re: How can this happen?

Because ABE "reverse engineers" a player's grades this occasionally results in the starting grade(s) getting pushed back a third of a grade, though I've also seen it go the other way. Over a player's career this tends to even out but sometimes will not. It's much harder to see in a blind league, but...

Re: Playoffs

Not sure who put the pox on Cincy bats, but our front office has a very specific set of skills.

We will find you.

And when we do.

We will hire you.

To do the same for the other team.

In next year's playoffs.

Because this year's was TAKEN from us. (Great job, Pitt!!! Go get 'em in the Series!!)

Re: Playoffs

The Romp have committed five errors, dropping their first two home games, putting us behind the eight ball heading into Pittsburgh. Unforgivable.

Very hard to win when you make your pitchers get four outs every inning.

Re: Stunned

Stunned

Thought for sure this was going to be a home-and-home LCS, for both leagues this year. Stunned that the Wild Card teams were both able to pull off upsets on the pennant winners. Congrats to both Oakland and St. Louis for winning the regular season. Ninth year in a row for Oakland, and 31 out of the ...

Re: Hall of Fame Nominees (2005-2009): Pitchers

No to Jay Pettit. And Steve Myers. I want to say no to a couple others, but I won't. You just can't deny 300 wins (looking at you, Ed Benes). Yes to everyone else. But heinerkin, I'm curious ... if you keep Takeoka out, don't you also have to keep Myers (and a couple others) out? With the exception ...

Re: Veteran Rule

It's in the Manifesto Post here.

Jason, submit a ticket asking Chris to top that to our league forum thread, since neither of us can figure out how to do it.

Re: Draft

Also ... the Amateur Draft populated only 59 names.

I have submitted a ticket to correct this.
