Re: BEEN Around awhile....

I am in total agreement. There's not even a true Top 10 here. Barely a Top 8.

I picked a bad year to be a contender. And then to fall short added insult to injury.

Re: Re-Run Draft w/No Restrictions

I can see going forward one of three ways: 1. Do nothing. Change nothing. 2. Let everyone rank as they wish, as long as Jason keeps his formula the same and posts what we'll call the "FORMULA CLASS" every year (and then he can also rank his draft however he likes) so we all have a baseline to establ...

Revisiting 1989 Hall of Fame Class

Given the guidelines just discussed, these players are now re-nominated for the Goose Goslin League Hall of Fame: 1b Tony Alfredo , New York Titans 20-year career with New York-NL, Boston, a flirt with Chicago-AL, and a final few years in Cleveland. Nomination criteria: 9 All Star teams, 3 Gold Glov...

Google "St. Louis Browns mascot logo" ... under the Image option.

It was their weird mascot design.

Re: Hall of Fame Nominees (2225-2229)

Doug Rapp Not sure why he isn't getting a little more love. 300+ Wins. A .725 Win %, pretty incredible ERA/WHIP (though, his FIP was more than half a run higher so he pitched for some pretty awesome Washington defensive teams), and a pair of Cy Young trophies on his mantel. EDIT: When I wrote this,...

Re: Re-Run Draft w/No Restrictions

Do we manually redraft the entire 100, or stop after 32? If we do stop at 32, how does anyone ensure getting any value out of R3-4-5 picks? Stop at 32. 3 days of OS is enough. I am in enough leagues that I can tell you most drafts have between 35-45 players who project to B+ overall grades, so ther...

Cincinnati Throwing in the Towel

Unloading all assets older than 28 while there is still time for competing teams to grab them while playoff eligible. I have a decent crop of teen prospects so I'm really looking for picks 3 years out and/or players in their young 20s = ready for the majors. The prize pieces for trade are: SP Ona Ka...

Re: Re-Run Draft w/No Restrictions

Yes, this is moving at the speed of continental drift. Clearly not an exercise anyone truly wishes to indulge. Fine. While I continue to be confounded by the need to restrict ourselves to an agreed upon pool of 32 names from which to draft, which we can hardly ever execute properly more than once a ...
