Re: 1 new hall member

I'm one of the two who did not vote for Lancelotti, and I have to say I don't get it. How is he a Hall of Famer? As Lancelotti was my former guy, I'll mention that I also have mixed feelings on his Hall-worthiness. I also didn't vote for him on this ballot; although I have before on previous ballot...

Re: Congrats Weathermen!!!

Thanks! Last season's offense was a lot of fun. Led by Santiago , I seemed to have everything click in that department. We got lucky in the playoffs considering the type of mediocre pitching my staff contributed occasionally last year. My bullpen pulled their typical "batting practice"-level perform...

Re: last chance to vote for the hall of fame

sorry it has come to this, but unless the hall starts getting better participation, I'm going to shut it down (or let someone else take it over) Sorry to hear that, max. I admire your persistence. I'd volunteer to take over, but I'm afraid it'd drive me to even further levels of frustration. I cann...

Re: 2041 Hall of Fame ballot

New York (NL) votes for:

1) SP Joe Shelby
2) 1B Lynn Marshall

This group is a tough group to assess. I only noticed 2 guys that really separated themselves from the others.

Houston, we have liftoff...

23 straight losses to begin the season. Last season, Houston won 18% of its ballgames. This season, they're on pace to win 4%.

Amazingly, the hitters managed to finish the 9th-inning comeback off of no slouch, former Houston pitcher Howard Tracy.

Re: 2040 hall of fame inductees

Thanks for doing this, max. Sure, not a lot of owners are voting, but at least the greats are getting in. Morton and Fisher were just plain great. I'm not the biggest fan of Jones, but I tend to be extra tough to be extra tough on Closers. Nakamura 's a nice addition because he's the 1st "foreign-bo...

Re: Another Bot!!

Looks like Cleveland owner left us after one season. Just when it looked liked we were making headway in getting rid of the Bots. I think we should look at converting our league to a 3 gpd Speed League to entice some new owners. The only difference is that you can adjust the rules other than what i...

Re: Too Many Serviceable Prospects

Not trying to add to your misery, DeepThreat, but what did you think was going to happen when you drafted 19-year-old Johnny Clark , 18-year-old Pee-Wee Kelley , 18-year-old Art Oliver , and 18-year-old William Hathaway in the draft? I rarely have sympathy for owners who have too much young talent i...

Re: No 1 Pick Waived

I gave up on understanding L.A.'s thought process when they tore down a perfectly good roster between 2030 & 2034, starting with trading Buddy Fisher/Bubba Franks for bupkis. Yeah, it's a tragedy that Vaughan got ruined in 2039/2040, but it certainly wasn't the 1st ruined prospect on a roster that i...
