Re: Changing Player Names

Do we have any kind of agreement about changing player names in this league. Tricia Helfer a veteran of many years has just been changed to Andy Messersmith. It would be a courtesy to not change the names of established players, at least in my opinion. Its interesting to watch their careers even as...

Re: Early Congratulations to a JML Legend

And he returns!!!

Corey Pierce and Scott Ian are both back to try for a final playoff berth. They have played 18 seasons together on the same team. This will be #19.

Re: Congrats Houston

You have quite the squad there, machoking. Another 12 AS last season as well. Brian Hill is having a great twilight of his career, too.

Re: World Series

Thanks, Mike! I was honestly surprised how quickly this roster came together. We had an amazing regular season. Basically all of my pitching improved. A season ago I was really thinking about trying to move Rehg, Reynolds, and Post. Considering the fact that they are a relief pitcher and 2 very aver...

Re: Congratulations to Washington

Fun fact: My team had only 12 stolen bases all year(out 0f 15att.) That might be a record for a team that wins a championship. Anything below a 75% successful steal rate is not productive. Yet there are some teams here that run way too much. Outs are too precious to give away. Good luck to everybod...

Re: new hall of fame members

Also, nice reporting on the Hall Ceremony. Loved the story on all the members who have passed. Only spicoli can do the research and come up with this. Thanks again Michael! That's nothing. I had a story planned about Oakland's playoff drought in the event of their 2034 Playoff Berth. Sadly, Oakland...

Re: Quite the MVP Race in the NL

salmon has put up really impressive numbers, in spite of 130 days spent on the shelf with injury. That said, I wonder if the stats in the NL aren't a bit skewed due to the 4 bot managers (interesting argument there, as their continued failures leads to high draft picks, but said draft picks don't s...

Re: new hall of fame members

Unfortunately, Stein has passed on (lived until 2028), but my man Marty Mack is still kicking at 72. His fellow HOF teammates must have lived much harder lives as Jordan Zimmermann kicked the bucket at 61, Scott Olsen moved on at 68, John Lannan made it to 70, and finally Greg Steenstra hung on to 7...

Re: Somebody throw some water on the Senators

Amigo, what went wrong with Texas (and the Buffs) is the Senator's 25 game win streak. Texas has a chance to end the streak with 3-games against WASH. I'm afraid you may have missed my point, my good man. As I mentioned in my previous post, I was talking specifically about the misfortune of Texas. ...

Quite the MVP Race in the NL

I'm partial to my guy Pete Walters, who I'm pretty sure has broken the record for home runs hit by the end of OS24 (112). That said, Eddie Salmon deserves some credit as well. His .677 SLG% is good enough for 3rd all-time for a single season. Hats off to the likely HOFer.
