Re: What's your best Amateur draft ?

STL has two, i guess, 1951- We traded for 1st overall pick Taz Kaniguchi (http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=14177722) who promptly won rookie of the year and later won two gold gloves and was a 5-time All Star between STL and COL. With the 9th pick we drafted Lance White (http://simdynasty.com/pl...

What's your best Amateur draft ?

For the Rainiers I'm going to nominate 1951 Looking at some player cards today and remembered I picked Earl Napier & Gil Jourdan in the same year, 1951. They were both back half of the draft picks, 12 & 10 respectively, but both have had long successful careers and so I thought "well th...

300 for White

Lance White homered on April 2nd against Detroit to reach the 300 home run plateau.

White is just the 12th player in league history to reach the 300 mark and given that the next two guys ahead of him are retired he should easily reach the top 10 this year

Always buy out the guy you want to get rid of. Removes any chances.
TBF, it was less that we couldn't agree and more that I couldn't get tworoosters to accept my pile of mediocre assets
He can absolutely be unreasonable that way. 😂

Congrats Miami

At least we got to win one in front of the home town fans, it's a memory they can treasure as we suck for 5-6 years

Re: The Post Not Made

You'd expect on pure math for teams down 3-0 to rally about 6.25% of the time. That's almost exactly what our numbers are right now, interestingly. IRL it's 0.3%. Some of that is likely due to the fact that if you lost the first three, you probably are the worse team and have <50% chance of winning...

Re: The Post Not Made

This is not the first 0-3 comeback in nBHL history In 1951 Detroit came back from 0-3 to take the ALCS and then went on to win the World Series in five games. In 1955 Oakland came back from 0-3 to win the ALCS and then lost the World Series after being up 3-1. So that's three times in 50 playoff ser...

First time All Star

Pedro Anderson at soon to be 32 finally stayed healthy enough to make 30+ starts and was rewarded with his 1st All Star selection. This wasn't Pedro's best year, that would be 1963, but it was solid as he finished top 5 among AL starters in wins, ERA & WHIP and was 6th in Ks. This completes the...
