Branch Birdsall was about to be cut but asked for one last opportunity to pitch for the green and yellow of Seattle because it was against his former team, the Bean Eaters.

Birdsall pitched great for 6 innings and his manager for him outta there. Birdsall cleaned out his locker and left before the 9th inning ended.

Seattle was officially released from the team just days later.
