All Florida WS

Post by Greyfan »

Fourth All Sunshine State World Series in JEL history, the second between the Storm and the Thunder who last met in 2068. In ancient history, the Storm took on the old Tampa Bay Tempers in 1978 and 1981. Series stands at Tampa 2, Florida 1.

Now 3-1 ;) Congrats on a dominating WS and incredible season. I am sure that we will be meeting up in the WS again at some point...maybe next year!

Thanks Joe,

You've got a tough team to beat. Every game in the World Series was won by 1-run.

Good luck next year!

Just peeking in as I remember the JEL from its inception, when I was the owner of the Tampa Bay Tempers - including for those Series, which I think was the team with Sam Picone, who once threw two perfect games 5 starts apart, though I'm not sure since I can't access all that and it's been about six years real time.
Sounds like it was a good Series! Have fun, and I hope you enjoyed my run-on sentence.

Yes just looked to see that the Tampa Bay Tempers were World Series winners in 1959.

Guess you were responsible for the players' names BabyDoc!

I see we have

Luke Warm
Neill Down
B.A. Ware
Otto Graf
Dan D. Lyons

and my favourite

Chris P. Bacon
