Max Youngblood

Post by gatkeri »

Youngblood just eclipsed his own TEX team record of 147 RBI and became just the 11th AL player to reach the 150 RBI mark in a season. He tied Mike Schmidt's record of 5 consecutive 140 RBI seasons. A team note- TEX needs to go just 5-4 to tie the all-time LDL record of 130 wins in a season, held jointly by DET(1966) and KC(2025).

He also hit the 40-40 club again. A+ health has helped him produce.

Another side note- teammate Rake Allsworth could deprive Youngblood of the overall LDL Triple Crown. Youngblood is 2cd in batting, but trails Allsworth by 8 points with 5 games left, .361 to .353

Youngblood capped off his incredible season by hitting 3 solo HRs in gm 162, albeit a loss for TEX, only their 30th of the season, an LDL record. The 3 runs gave them an even 1000 on the season. Youngblood increased his OPS to 1.092, the highest in the LDL in 68 years.
