Draft Pick Trades

We used to be able to trade picks out 3 years, but now we are limited to 2.

I'm sure there is a reason--I just don't know what that reason is.

Can anyone enlighten me?

The end of the 12 year run is 1981. If you renew for the following 12 year run you will have access to the next years picks.
