40% to stay on ballot, 75% to get inducted. Eligibility: 4 yrs.

"Piano Legs" Kelly 13/14 (92,9%) inducted on first year
Jim Burkett 9/14 (64,3%) stays on ballot - 4th year next season
Gus Hale 7/14 (50,0%) stays on ballot - 3rd year next season
Doc Matula 6/14 (42,9%) stays on ballot - 2nd year next season
John "Snoopy" Brown 6/14 (42,9%) stays on ballot - 4th year next season
Brandon Brando 5/14 (35,7%) out on fourth year
Phil Brennan 4/14 (28,6%) out on second year
Elmer Venafro 3/14 (21,4%) out on first year

Brando finishes his HOF eligibility going from 64,3% to 53,8% to 50,0% to 35,7%
Snnopy Brown goes from 61,5% to 42,9% to 42,9% again. Jim Burkett goes from 69,2% to 64,3% to 64,3% again.
Phil Brennan goes from 57,1% to 28,6% and is out of the ballot. Gus Hale goes from 64,3% to 50,0%
Brown, Burkett, Hale and Matula stay on the ballot.

Hale's case intrigues me. 4th all time in ERA. I thought he'd be a shoo-in, though he only won more than 17 games once...then again he won 3 ERA titles with 15-17 wins, so maybe it's just a case of wins being somewhat arbitrary...or did he win so few games because his low-end-starter endurance kept him from going deep into games (never threw a complete game!) and is that a legitimate case against him? Or, could he have had a longer leash, then he'd have more wins, a few CGs...and a worse ERA. With 230ish wins, a ~3.00 ERA, a couple more All Stars...would that have been enough?

also who voted against Piano Kelly lol I wouldn't want to date your daughter! (jk im sure it was just an oversight)

Agree. Voted both times for Gus Hale.
He would be the SP with lowest number of wins on our Hall, but one of best ERA of all times, he was just too good.
