#1 Pick 2019
Cincy has had a few request to move down in this years draft. One was a very good offer. You know who you are. But upon further review Cincy is standing pat.
And with the first pick in the 2019 draft Cincinnati will select 1B Butch Moffitt.
He will be moving right in to the starting 1B man.

Good to know.
The media has been reporting for weeks that the Bengals chief of the Scout had a lot interest on Moffitt hahaha.
But seriously, now you really have to worry about winning games and not ruinning Moffit with WPM.
Now let's see who Paul will pick, hope I didn't screw things up by trading him my #2 pick for his #3 pick.
I think he can even end the mysterie now, since we already know the #2 haha.

Re: #1 Pick 2019
(barring further trades) With the second pick in the 2019 CPBL draft, the San Francisco Criminals select...
Rich Wertz, DH, Pace University
He will probably begin his career down with the Juvies, but it may not be long before he sees time with the big club.
I wanted to get into the top 2 for him or Moffitt. I figure they're both developed enough that the WPM's worst won't totally destroy them. With Moffitt off the board, the soon to be renamed Wertz looks to form a "Healthy Bros" tandem with Tattaglia at the top of the lineup for the 2020's.
Geos are on the clock!

Re: #1 Pick 2019
Damn! I have Wertz at #1 and Moffitt at #2.
Shouldn't trade down, I thought the Bengals would go for pitching, and the Criminals wouldn't go for a guy with bad defense, and we would still pick Wertz.
But that's ok, one reason that I went for the trade is that we also need a catcher.
So the Geodesists will take:
Al McNeely, C, LSU
With VD who knows who will be the best player of this draft...
Now it is up to Kansas City pick #4, maybe it will be the first player from high scholl to be picked in this draft.

Re: #1 Pick 2019
Wertz's defense is definitely a problem. There's nowhere to hide a guy who can't throw or catch. Luckily I have plenty of holes to fill, actually my entire team is one big hole, so a guy who can only contribute on one side of the game is still an upgrade! To the rest of the NL, get ready to take advantage of 15 years of bumbling leftfieldering in the bay.

additionally, continuing the draft on the message board like this would be the most fun I've had on the site in many years. (although it seems vulnerable to dirty tricks, what if I suddenly thought more of McNeely, for example)
Criminals are open to dealing the #5 pick, including but not limited to moving down a few spots and picking up another asset.

But yeah I understood what you mean.
It would be incredible fun to make a live draft, it would take like 2 days and we would need everyone on board, but that would be really fun.
Re: #1 Pick 2019
Moffitt will be going straight to the ML. It's a year early but need to keep the IC's where they are.
Cincy needs a lot of everything.
With 5 1st rd picks in the next 3 drafts that should get Cincy out of the dumps.

Re: #1 Pick 2019
A live first round would be great. I don't know how that would work out logistically. We'd have to all set the same 1st round or something. Plus you'd have to get everyone one at the same time since our draft is so quick after the season ends.
On the other hand we could start drafting as soon as the regular season ends. It's an awesome idea, but again, logistically probably wouldn't work. We can always do most of it here and hope people don't go and snipe.

I like the idea.
Once you make a pick, you set your board and that's that.
Be kinda hard to (cheat/make an error) since it will all be right here.
And if someone does screw up, we just trade the guys where they belong...
