2020 Stretch Run/Playoffs/Lottery
The AL race looks decided, it's just a matter of whether a Game 7 would be played in Baltimore or Boston. The Terrier franchise is on a 48-year title drought. Beat those dumbBohs...ohhhhh, snap
Pittsburgh ran away with 1st place in the AL, and bringing home long-time Rebel Danny Gray for a shot at a ring was a classy, bench-bolstering move for a team that's gone 18 years since winning it all. For second place, St. Louis leads New York by 5 with 27 to play. It's been 39 years since the Gothams hoisted the Bell. (I'm imagining our WS trophy is a big gold bell of some sort)
Here's to an interesting rest of season, and I hope I get the #1 pick.

Re: 2020 Stretch Run/Playoffs
That was 100% the motivation for bringing Gray back. Gotta give him a shot to win after he slogged through so many years on a rebuilding franchise. I wouldn't mind seeing him step in late in the game to pinch hit with all that power. Would be great if I could tell ABE to only pinch hit him when it isn't a double play situation...
Raise the Bell. That's perfect.

I know you guys don't sit around and wonder why my team blows chunks.
So here is an example of why.
I took me until the second reference to a Bell, for me to get it...

4 games to go, last/longest injury is Jethroe 3/16 DOB.
I've got the order as Brooklyn-Cincy-KC. Looks like I'll be sending the grounds crew on an early vacation before our final home series.

Re: 2020 Stretch Run/Playoffs/Lottery
A late addition and a 2 day injury set the lottery.
Troy Zernial went down, 9/5 bday
896 - NL 5th - SF
892 - NL 5th - repick
919 - AL 4th - TOR
889 - NL 5th - repick again...
092 - AL 8th - KC
The lottery world really wanted SF to get a lottery pick. Really bad. And on an injury that probably is more like rest than actually being hurt.
