I just wanted to give a hearty shoutout to my retiring catcher, and almost literally, a "machine" in George "Machine" Higgins. You pretty much couldn't ask for a better catcher. 18(+) seasons (w/ a lifetime .809 OPS). 11 all-stars. 7 Gold Gloves. An MVP. And he helped himself earn 4 World Series rings along the way. He will be greatly missed in the Colorado clubhouse.

I remember thinking when I saw him come back this past season at 40 years old, that I sure hope Shilo Wolf " said his prayers and took his vitamins brother" like Machine and the Hulkster did. Machine was the man.
