San Francisco 13 Montreal 8

The San Francisco Shamrocks might be understanderbly be reluctant to put on their home unis after winning their 25th game on the road (25-5 .883). They are a much less impressive team at home with a 14-10 record and will have six straight home games to better that.

The Shamrocks are 39-15 overall.

Game three was a slug fest between the two teams. San Francisco srtarter Dick Myers did not pitch well going shelled in the final two innkings hge was in walking four of the eight batters he walked in the game in those inning and giving up three of the five hits he gave up in the six innigs he worked.

Mike Gonzalez hit the first of two homeruns for him in the game in the first inning. 1-0 San Francisco.

in the second Koslofsky reache on a fielder's choice, stole second and scored the tying run on a single to center field by Ron Mumphrey.

San Francisco to a 5-1 lead in the 3rd.

Pitcher Dick Myers singled to center field. Chuck Parker followed with a one out single sending Myers to third bsase. A two out double by Ike Dark scored Parker. Irv Dark followed with a two run homer (14th) to cap off the scorfing in the inning.

Montreal tired of being tossed around like a rag doll rallied in the 5th inning as Myers began to unravel to the complete disgust of his pitching coach.

Brandon Northrup reached on an error which upset the rookie and began his downfall. Manush flied deep to right for the first out. Bradley received one of the eight walks Myers issued over six innings. Hod Hoover singled to right field driving in Northrup with an un-earned run. Bradley made it to thrid base. Kostofsky drew the second walk of the inning issued by Myers in the inning. Jerry kinsella singled driving in two runs before Myers retired Mumphrey on strikmes and Bright on a deep fly to right field.

5-4 San Francisco

In the 7th Gonzalez made it 6-4 with his second round tripper of the game (11th) of the season for thew All Star shortstop.

Montreal tied the game 6-6 with two run off Myers before he depoarted with the bases loaded an no one out.

Myers gave up a single to Bradley and walked two more to load the bases. Dave Campbell replaced the right hander. Campbell struck out Frank Bright, Ron mumphrey singlked in two runs that tied the game. McDonald grounded out to end the inning.

San Francisco broke things open in their half of the 9th scoring seven times Dilauro reached on an error to start it and before the inning ended three pitchers worked in the inning for Montreal; Walt Mendoz, John Cohen and Jim Herrnstein facing thirteen bastters.

Ike Dark drove in two with a double, Julio Gorsica and Dilauro had two run singles and catcher Chris Pointer, just called up, had a run scoring single.

San Francisco led 13-6 until Kinsella hit a two run hokmr in the bottom of the 9th to make the fianl 13-8.

Larry Cairo 2-0 got the win.
