Playoff run(over)

Post by Lebanon_Oilers »

As has been the case in the past few seasons, I am a few days past the renewal date on my team. I'm fortunate to still have a busy full-time job in this strange COVID-19 environment, and my team was fairly solid, so I set it on auto-pilot and figured I'd renew it in time for the playoffs.

Imagine my dismay when I checked on the team yesterday and today. Demoted to my inactive roster were the league's fifth-best KO specialist (I like touchbacks), my backup strong safety and my No. 2 kick returner. Looking further, moved out of the starting lineup was my No. 1 wide-receiver (90 ypg, 7 TDs, and owner of back-to-back 200-yard games earlier this season). Also no longer starting was a running back, tackle, defensive end, cornerback and free safety.

I get the commish making lineup changes to truly dead teams (a couple of them for more than a year) so that they don't have first-round draft picks rotting on their bench.

However, I was inactive since March 28 (when my subscription expired) and three days later, he takes five players out of the starting lineup and demotes two special teams guys on a solid team that is in first-place fighting for playoff position.

I was looking forward to the three first-round picks I had this coming offseason and revamping a roster that is aging in spots. Right now, though, I am leaning toward not renewing.

Good luck to all!

I'm sure it can be corrected.

I'm happy to see you active and sad to see you irritated. I had no idea that you planned on renewing. If I knew that I would not have touched your team, and for that I am sorry. At 10-4 it looks like you have an excellent chance to make the playoffs. I wish you all the best with your team.

Sincerely, BK

Definitely get your frustration. Maybe the commish could offer a small token incentive.
