First female player in Brown league?
First female player in Brown league?
So my team has picked up a girl former slow-pitch softball pitcher off of waivers: Susana Doran. As far as I know, this is the first female player in the league. As you can see, she has great control, but her maximum pitch velocity up to this point has been about 20 mph. Hopefully she will learn how to throw an overhand pitch while progressing through the minor leagues.

here is her player card: http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player ... d=13039034 . She told her new manager she intends to be more than just a pretty face.

Re: First female player in Brown league?
So it turns out that Susana's bullpen-mates have taken to singing her a song every time their team loses. It goes like this:
"Oh, Susana, oh don't you cry, you hear,
for I went to Alabama to put some wax behind my ear.
Tomorrow when we play the game, my pitchin' will be ear-ee,
as I follow in the footsteps of my hero Gaylord Perry...."
