Game two of the regular season series finale went to AL champion Kansas City 8-4.

Kansas City scored one in the first on a Stan Guth single, two in the second to go ahead 3-2 on a single by Len Troy, double by Elmer Hemphill and and single by Woodie Brooks. KC added two more in the 4th inning when Brooks tripled in a run and scored on a sac-fly by Kevin Bailey to lead 5-2.

Frank Konuszewski (8-4) got the win going 6.1 innings (5 hits 2 runs 3 walks and 1 strikeout) in his final tune up for the post season. Four bullpen pitchers were used by Kansas City.

Jose Colbern came into the game in the seventh with one out and one on. Colbern retired two of the three batters he faced, issuing a walk to catcher Tony Canizaro.

Ed Niggeling got into a peck of trouble in the in the eighth. Niggeling walked Callahan. Turbeville reached on a two base error by right fieder Tim Lee putting rinners on secoinbd and third. Woodie Bruno tapped one back to the pitcher for the first out. Frank Ortiz' infield single got Callahan in to score making it 5-3 at the time.

Charlie Raines came in and got rookie George Dohewny to tap back to the mound and Mark Stricker to ground out to end the inning.

Clevelan's revamped bullpen did a good job until Jeff Stuart gave up a three run homerun to Kevin Bailey. Clem McLaughlin and Chris Correll pitched well.

Lee Kiely hit his 7th of the season to start the ninth off Raines bringing Neal Aber in to finish off Cleveland.
