Early Season Preview - 2036 - Boston ThunderCats

Post by escocoach »

**Disclaimer, previews inspired by ofan1987's previous post**

Every couple days I'll have a couple more teams. Starting with the American League.

Boston ThunderCats(formerly Stars, Arachnids) - 2035 - (101-61) 2nd Place

All Stars - 4
MVP - Michael Miller (3rd)
Cy Young - none
Fireman - Mike Burgess (3rd)
ROY - Jason Womack (3rd)

History - ALCS Champions - 11 , World Series Champions - 8

• American League regular season runner-ups, the Boston Thundercats are looking to improve on a season that saw them reach the playoffs for the first time since 2022, 14 years ago. Boston’s entire starting roster as well as pitching staff returns for another run at a World title. On offense Boston is led by outfielder Michael Miller who finished 3rd in last season’s MVP voting. With a .294 average, 24 homeruns, 104 RBI’S and 34 stolen bases, Miller looks to take Boston to the top.
• The pitching staff isn’t lead by an individual, instead it is a true team effort. Boston will need all 5 starters to remain consistent if it has any shot at taking home a title. Larry Sanchez and Joe Flores each reached 15 wins for the starting staff. The bullpen is key to Boston’s success. Mike Burgess the team’s closer finished with 31 saves which was good enough for 3rd in the Fireman voting. Benito Kilroy was a big surprise for Boston last season in relief. Kilroy finished with a record of (14-7), 2.91 ERA, and a 1.14 WHIP.
• Boston looks to make another run at a title, with an aging roster this may be Boston’s last real shot before an overhaul of the roster takes place.
