Strange, but a nice start

Post by Descent54 »

My Washington team has scored only 14 runs and hit only 1 home run in its first 6 games but yet has a 5-1 record. And the staff has just pitched 4 consecutive shut outs.

i find this rather bizarre.

The opposite here. I beat you for that first game and promptly dropped the next five.

Yeah losing those 3 home games by one run is not a good thing, Usually those type of happenings tend to even out over the course of a season.

Lots of games left.

How about the team that lost the SERIES by one run in game 7, coming out of the chute winning just three of the first 13 games with essentially the same line up......... UGH!!!!!

ten more games then BIG CHANGES coming.....

I was 18-24 after 42 games last year. All it takes is one winning streak to be back in the hunt.

P.S. It should be noted that you have played more games on the road where you are 1-8 and where all your power hitters can't have the advantage of playing at that small ballpark of yours. And I am sure you noticed in the Series, that you scored 9 runs at my place and hit only 2 homeruns in 4 games there. Size does matter sometimes!

Hall of Fame pitchers are nice to have. That said, savvy deals like a 30-year-old career underachiever for a declining superstar is likely rule #2a after building a staff of elite arms. #2b is developing your own aces on the back-end by drafting/allocating well.
