Brooklyn Rookie of the Year
So, this Gutierrez guy is not only in the lead for NL ROY but also 2nd in MVP voting with 1,057 votes as of 8/29/2046. If he does happen to pass Jones, it will because he has been a Road Warrior. His unlikely split is also likely part of the reason Brooklyn has more wins on the road (42) than at home (39). It looks like the battle for the NL is going to be another fascinating one. Current projected # of wins are 99 for Brooklyn, 102 for Philadelphia, and 108 for San Diego.
Re: Brooklyn Rookie of the Year
Gutierrez is 23, and Jones is 24. Too bad the rest of the team is aging.

Re: Brooklyn Rookie of the Year
I'm not convinced Jones is the real deal quite yet. Show me another B-/A Contact/Power split that puts up numbers like this:
Year Vs G AB H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO OPS OBP SLG AVG
2046 LHP 42 85 29 2 1 7 23 4 14 1.009 .374 .635 .341
I'm sorry, but that is not likely to continue. Dude will be very good, but that is insane even if he is 59/91. I could see him being a Roy Augustine type with better defense and much better health. That A+ health is a nice bonus, but it will likely inflate the awards he ends up. Last season, he finished with a .695 OPS and still managed to beat out a .947 OPS mainly based on the extra 200 or so plate appearances. Witmeyer, meanwhile, is nowhere near last season's performance, which further exemplifies the swings code-bits can go through in SimD.
Re: Brooklyn Rookie of the Year
The split against LHP doesn't worry me too much, because he faces 5 RHP for every LHP. It's a sample of 89 AB this year, which isn't much. He shouldn't hit them quite this well, but I won't be surprised if he pops to A+ PVL this OS.
