Man, I was on the edge of my seat!! Back-to-back is SO tough to do in this league. I am over the moon!

I hate to give up first round picks, but will do so if I feel it's absolutely necessary to get the piece(s) I need for that playoff run, and Oakland convinced me it was necessary. The acquisition of RP Elmer Lee and OF Melvin Freeman from the UFOs were crucial to our success this year.

I tip my cap to chbutt and the LA Lightning for a tough, no quarter given Series that could have gone either way.

And congrats to all the playoff teams! Good luck to everyone in free agency and may ABE smile on us all in the OS.

I couldn’t be happier for you Mark. What a great series and an even greater KC run!

Thank you, thank you!

Now I'm narrowing my eyes at the Barons and Royals who signed KC faves Melvin Freeman and Rick Scott away from us, when we had offered 36-year old Freeman a two-year contract and Catcher Scott a 6-year deal to Montreal's 5 --> but both these mercenary players took more money to play in smaller ballparks on shorter contracts.

Go figure. So much for home team loyalty.

And I'm still short a relief pitcher.

Well, one day left. Time to dive into the bargain bins.

Seattle is trying to move Schrieber. Maybe give him a look.

Woops ... NYA (narrows eyes at Mark **again**) scoops him up while i'm trying to figure a way to make the salary cap work for us.

Oh, well. Easy come, easy go. It was a good idea.
