Opinions, please:
Leadoff batter walks;
Runner steals 2B;
Catcher throws ball into CF - runner to 3B;
Ground out to SS - runner scores;
Fly out to CF;
Ground out to 1B.
Earned or unearned?
Really ABE?
Re: Really ABE?
unearned, he wouldn't have moved to 3rd on a groundball to SS, so he wouldn't have scored on the sac fly.

I agree. There are rules for this (likely everything else baseball statistic) but I am pretty sure this is unearned.

I agree. Very unlikely he moves to 3B on the grounder to short. Unearned. Sadly, for my pitcher, ABE disagreed.

Re: Really ABE?
From mlb.com: "An unearned run is any run that scored because of an error or a passed ball. Oftentimes, it is the judgment of the official scorer as to whether a specific run would've scored without the defensive mishap."
So offical scorer ABE decided the run would have scored on the flyout if the error had not occurred? Likely the runner would not have moved to third on the ground out to short (typically you don't advance on balls hit in front of you).
Agree this should have been judged unearned.
