2050 Hall of Fame election--please vote

There has not been a great deal of enthusiasm about this season’s Hall of Fame election. Thus far, I've received no nominations from the Leagues’s owners. I would like to make two nominations and ask for votes. No more nominations will be accepted for this season’s election. After a reasonable time, I will announce the results. My nominees are Greg Owens http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=12319465 and Greg “The Hammer” Leeburk http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=12371989.
Mr Owens was the National League MVP three times, once for Chicago, twice for New York. In his career he hit 403 HRs, had a .285 BA and amassed 2,163 hits. In 2046, playing for New York, he won the triple crown with 35 HRs, 118, RBI and a BA of .336. He also led the League with a .992 OPS. This followed his 2045 season in which he led the League with 43 HR and 121 RBI. He played mostly 2B in the first half of his career and the outfield the last half. He had a B+ arm and A range ratings and was an A mentor. Owens was a first team All Star six times, made 8 LCS appearances, appeared in 5 World Series, three times as the winner.
Leeburk was a six time All Star catcher for Washington the first half of his career and and Brooklyn the last half. He was Rookie of the Year in 2033. Leeburk hit 379 HR in his career among his 2,024 hits and had 1343 RBI. He played in 7 LCS and one World Series which he helped win. He had an A+ arm and was an A+ mentor.
The rules: all retired players are eligible. Any owner can nominate any former player. For an election to be valid at least 8 owners must vote. Assuming a valid election, induction into the Hall of Fame requires that a majority of the voters approve of the nominee. A nominee receiving at least 25% of the votes but not the required amount for induction is automatically on next year’s ballot. The coordinator of the Hall of Fame, me, is responsible for the timing and duration of the nominating and election process.
