MERGER NEWS

Post by skycoyote »

I've just heard from Chris. He will do the merger! The first step is for both teams to pause at the end of their respective seasons. The LWL is currently on 9/4, the BHL is of course at 7/20. When both teams are paused, Chris will let both drafts run. Then a new league will be created, with copies of everybody's team. Everyone will have their credits and subscriptions copied to the new league. If everything looks OK, Chris will start the new league's season.

There is a typo in the above. I wrote the BHL is on 7/20 - I meant the HBL.

So, what are the owned teams?

Philly
Colorado
Pittsburgh
Cincy
Milwaukee
Brooklyn

Oakland
Baltimore
Boston
Chicago

10 teams

Seattle, Ceo's team, SF, Minn are definitely finished.

too bad, alot of wasted players on seattle and CEO

I think there are 12 teams staying. St Louis and Washington are not on your list, Gary. But I have a team in LWL, and so does mrtwolff. We will each have to give up one team. In the LWL, there are 11 active teams (counting me and mrtwolff). So that makes 23 active teams - 2 (the teams mrtwolff and I will give up). So we will start with 21 active teams. I think Chris is OK with starting the new league with three unowned teams, but it would be great if we could find three new owners!

Technically, St. Louis and Washington are under Chaperone control, so they don't really count as being "owned," by anyone and remain on the vacant teams list.

But maybe if we all talked up the new league in our other leagues, we might scrape up a few interested folks...?

How will draft pick trades be handled? Will those be able to be ported over? I traded an asset recently for a future pick.
