That Detroit series was a nailbiter - every game was decided by a single run. Four outfield assists were recorded in this series. Fantastic defense helped support the less than stellar starting pitching efforts.

The MVP to go to King Gibson.
This year he nabs his first Fireman award and then gets 7 saves in the postseason, with a 0.8 WHIP and 2.4 ERA.
A close second would be Harker Pence, who was stellar at the plate. He had an amazing .524 AVG (.628 OBP), with 3 bombs and 10 RBI in the postseason.
3rd place goes to Walter Spies, a trade deadline acquisition who notched 2 wins in the WS, giving up a single run over 15+ IP.
