Aaron Hicks, hit for the cycle yesterday vs the Kansas City Devils in a 10-0 victory
In his last at bat in the top of the ninth, all he needed was the most difficult, the triple. After hitting a chalk lifting rocket down the right field line, his teammates urging him on from the dugout, he ran through a stop sign by third base coach Marv Ellis. With a head first dive into third, and after reviewing the play on instant replay he was ruled safe and had his cycle.
After the game Coach Ellis was asked about running thru the stop sign and all we could hear from Ellis was "F***ing Rookies" as he walked back into the clubhouse, Budweiser in hand.
