Johnny Terwillger bombed out in the NLCS like rarely seen before. Terwillger's never been a shutdown-type bullpen/closer, but he'd been amazingly effective in the previous 3 playoffs.

Congratulations to Atlanta on the NL Pennant. Neither team's offense looked very good, but Atlanta's got the big hits when they needed them. I knew hitting Lefties was going to be a struggle for our team. Of course, Gordon Decker and Jack Cruz would both be able to shut us down. Morrie Bale even gave us fits after going 0-4 against New York in the regular season.

Good luck against Oakland. Nice to see 2 teams that haven't been in the playoffs much lately get to the World Series!
