Fredi Gonzalez League Scores July 10, 1950

Settle 2 New York Yankees 1

Seattle (3-3) wins series two games to one over New York (2-4).

Baltimore 7 Anaheim 6 (in 11 Innings)

Baltimore (3-3) salvaged game three, but Anaheim (3-3) won the series two games to one.

Derroit 8 Kansas City Royals 2

Detroit lost first game of the home series and thier third straight but reounded to win the series 2-1. Detroit is now 3-3 and the Royals drop to 3-3.

Boston 6 Minnesota 3

Boston (5-1) sweeps the Moose (1-5) in Minneapolis.

Jimmy Clark the Boston starter got the win (1-1) going eight innings allowing four hits three runs walked five and struck out seven.

Marty Puccinelli pitched one inning in his fourth appearance... 5 innings 3 hits allowed 0 runs six strikeouts 3 saves.

Boston scored in the first inning in every game of this series and in the first inning of their last series. Daryl Magnante gave up three straight singles to Jim Klobedanz, Joe Curtright and Hal Crompton to plate a run with no one out. Magnante retired the next three batters to avoid nay further scoring. 1-0 Boston.

Mgnante walked Snuffy Lewandowski and catcher Mike Gebhardt to start the second inning. pitcher Danny Clark bunted succesfully moving both runners up ninty feet. (Retired 3-4) Joe Curtright singled driving in two runs. 3-0 Boston.

A fourth inning triple by by Jake Basinsky and a sacrifice fly by Scott Easter put Minnesota on the scoreboard. 3-1.

Boston came right back in the top of the fifth inning with four runs to put the game on ice.

Crumpton singled to left field with one out and stole second base. Jim Burke singled to centerfield diving in Crumpton. Burke, a speedy shortstop stole second and came in to score run number two in the inning on Boston's third hit of the inning, a single by Larry Kling.

Jesse Bilko came in to pitch in a pitching change. Magnante departed. Kling stole second on his first pitch. Finnvold grounded to second for out number two. Lewndowski singled to riight driving in Kling with run number four in the inning

Bert Young hit a two run homerun in the eighth inning for Minnesota but that only changed the final score of 6-3.
