Odd waiver wire moves

Would ABE automatically claim a player off of waivers and demote a player for me? I had 25 MLB and 14 minor league players. Then today I claimed Red Husky and demoted a guy I would rather stay on my roster, but I didn't make any moves.

I think that he might claim a guy off of waivers since you had less than 40 players on your roster, but am not 100% sure.
