Post by larrysiegfried20 »

Aaron Argentina (6-3) went 5.2 innings for the 31-21 Fans to keep them three games behind Boston and just one game back of second place Washington.

Mike Pike's two run double in the 3rd inning got Anaheim on the board.

Texas scored single runs in the 2nd and 4th innings to tie the game 2-2. Argentina walked Dutch Gilbert and Larry Mack doubled him in for the forst run and in the 4th, Pat Moyer singled to left foeld, Mack walked and Stan Gwynn singled past shortstop Spencer Edwin,

Edwin's bat made up for that lack of range play with a three run homerun in the 5th that put Anaheim ahead 5-2. It was Edwin's 7th of the season.

Anaheim added three more in the 8th inning on run scoring singles by Ray Semperfi and Rick Nelson and a sac-fly by Ryan AlDean.
