Draft advice

Post by awasp69 »

Should have the number one overall pick in this draft, so of course it isn't a very good draft class. Any advice at who I should target in the top five would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, would it be wrong to draft Hayashi at number one, then trade him? Or, is there a clear cut youngster that would be better drafted at that number one spot?

I would attempt to trade the pick. Get the value of that player. Plus possibly another pick in the draft for the offer. If you can't I would have to make the decision on how willing the other owners in your league trade. I make that decision all the time

I would think you could get some value for Hayashi but no interest in the young pitcher John Embree? Others that could be of interest, in no particular order, are Puckett, Clark, and Greene.

I would take Embree. I don't think you will get a big haul for Hayashi. It doesn't hurt to float it out there to see if anyone has an offer, but my guess is you're stuck with the pick.

I agree with taking Embree if you can't swing a pre-draft trade.
