Stumbled into the top 2 picks in the below draft. I see probably 4 players I could be talked into taking, thoughts?

I think Salas is the clear #1, but I am waffling between Randall and Grudzielanek for #2. Out of curiosity, who is your #4?

I can see Williams becoming a real good top of the order hitter

Williams health and defense are a concern. He likely needs to be moved to 1B. I could see Huff and maybe Frank being as good, if not better, leadoff guys. The down side of course being the extra CPs.

I like Grudzielanek over Randall because of the 99 speed and being better vs RHP. Could be a special player.

1. Salas
2. Grudzielanek
3. Randall

I look at Williams as more of a top sub. He could lead off, but with the health and defense I'd rather have him off the bench if possible. I have him 7th, but 2 of the guys I have ahead of him are strictly due to the fact that I am ready to compete, and wouldn't be there if I had your team.

I don't think it's too far of a stretch to think that as a hitter Williams could turn into your shortstop MDorf, Hank Behan, but likely as a first baseman as Willy pointed out (so obviously less valuable). I'm by no means locked in on him with one of the top two spots, but I think a Behan would be a strong early pick. Also the age thing may be a positive given the number of prospects I've got, but I usually try not to have that be a limiting factor.

Behan has the 98 bunting skill, though. I am sure Williams will hit fine, but he isn't the type of player you generally have to take high. With him being older, it is easier for people to see what he will become. That will result in him going higher than an 18 year old version of himself, but even with the bunting, I got Behan at 14. Regardless, I think the other 3 are much better prospects than he is.

Agree with Willy on the top 3

Shame Salas is 1 point short of being able to bunt for hits

I think he'll likely pick up enough speed improvements at some point to make him able to bunt for hits

Salas is a pitcher.
