SDPN (SimDynasty Sports Network) is reporting that there have been major ongoing talks about one of the biggest blockbuster trades in SimDynasty history. The Los Angeles Matrix & The Seattle CoMpToNz PiLoTz are looking at moving 2 of their top prospects & a slew of draft picks. Each team banking on the other's future. The deal is so huge it would need TWO... yes TWO trades to complete it. If finalized it would look something like this:
Deal1: Seattle's Vladimir Guerrero going to Los Angeles along with
SEA 2012 Rnd1, SEA 2011 Rnd1, SEA 2010 Rnd1, SEA 2008 Rnd1, SEA 2008 Rnd2, SEA 2008 Rnd3:
For Los Angeles' Grover Alexander & LAA 2008 Rnd1, LAA 2012 Rnd1, LAA 2011 Rnd1.
This would not complete the deal so a 2nd trade would have to be made as all of 2008's picks from SEA would need to come over... hence Deal 2 would look like this:
Deal2: SEA 2008 Rnd4, SEA 2008 Rnd5 sent over to complete the 1st deal.

Compton ripoff
Re: Compton ripoff
Yeah this was bad.
Basically the deal is four playoff firsts, a mid-range OF prospect, and a set of 2nd-5th-round picks (also playoff picks) for...
...what is almost guaranteed to be 3 first overall picks and a pretty decent SP prospect.
The other thing is (if I am understanding this correctly) that LA actually made the offer.

Re: Compton ripoff
Sounds like a horrible deal for the team with the high picks...LA?
Re: Compton ripoff
Good deal for both teams. Take it
Re: Compton ripoff
No it's certainly not good for both. LA got totally ripped off.
This is a prime example of a new owner not understanding the value of draft picks. The players were somewhat close in value, so where's the justification to give up 3 top 4 picks (probably #1 overall) for 4 picks that are playoff picks (#13-16)? The other picks are worthless since they will late round picks, and even if he was lucky enough to get a decent prospect with the late 2nd rounder, he won't have the CPs anyways.
A rebuilding team should always hold onto their picks because that's the easiest way to acquire blue chip prospects. You need to have some top level talent to win consistently in this game. Unless someone is giving you a blue chip prospect back in the deal, you shouldn't be trading your top 4 picks away!
