1st pick

Post by spiderrtp »

I have the first pick in this draft that I lucked into the spot. It isn't real cut and dry who the top pick should be. This is a high injury league with variable development and I'm very early early in my rebuild.

The two that I'm looking at are Stewart and Kemmer. Any other advice or prospects seen that warrant being up there for the first pick?

current team

Thanks

If it is a high injury league, I definitely take Stewart. He has good health and you can never have enough pitching. He's probably a little better prospect than Kemmer, anyway.

Stewart
Ganzel
Berkman

As a catcher , Kemmer will probably never hit red letter arm.

I think you should pick Danger Sanchez. It's not a great draft anyway and although he's not very good he does have one of the best ABE names ever!!

Kemmer will easily make red letter arm, and probably reach mid to high A arm.

Stewart is the better choice. I'd take Valentine over the other hitters.

So it seems pretty consensus that Stewart is the leader in the clubhouse to get the call at #1. Thanks to all of you for your input!

I'm in the league and have Stewart at #1, for what it's worth

As an update:

Stewart went #1 followed by Sadowski and Valentine.

Others mentioned in this tread were Kemmer who went 7th, Ganzel #17 and Berkman #16.

I'm not sure if Stewart is a bust or a product of bad luck... but that conversion rate at OS18 is not making me happy.
