Trade Advice in the Billy Hamilton Dynasty League

Post by Shazam »

I have been offered this:

Tom Shilling
Don Hough
Miami's 1st round pick in 2043
Fred Collins
Joe Clifton
Gene Kimm

I give up:
Emil McAllester
Phil Cavaretta
Gordie Williams

Obviously McAllester is the main piece of this trade and will be a hard guy to replace. But in getting 2 potential solid A relievers and a future #1 for him, along with a decent replacement catcher for the time being for Cavaretta and a couple of 26 yr old throw ins for the throw in vet Williams I feel it makes a lot of sense for us right now.

The hardest part is that with McAllester I have the makings of a solid hitting team for the next 7 to 9 years to go with ok pitching. Without him though pitching is looking up and I only lose maybe 5-6 wins over an entire season with Collins behind the dish.

Your thoughts?

I would want more for mcellister.

Those pitchers are good but neither of them is a lock for a overall and neither is a lock to be a starting pitcher. Mcellister should net at least these same three pieces in 3 years (2 quality swing pitchers and a first). So why move him now?
