Trade advice in the Wilson Roberts League (Private/Speed League)

Post by awasp69 »

I need your help with this trade offer. This is a (Private/Speed League)

I have been offered:
John Hoblitzel
Bunny Mills
Danny Dayley
Richie McClellan

I would give up:
Buck Hoyt
Harry Causey
1971 Draft Pick Rd 1(ANA)

Here is a link to my depth chart

Here is a link to the other owner's depth chart

And here is a link to my league's standings

Thanks for the help,

Does this trade help me win now? I have had several offers for Hoyt (must be good if everyone wants him), but I have been reluctant to part with him. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

It would make you better in the short run, but I wouldn't do it. For me to give up the pitching prospects you are in this offer, I would be wanting younger players or superstars. Not a collection of good not great guys 2 years from declines. Be patient or look for a couple of bats in that age group that will only cost you some draft picks.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking too. Someone accepted a similar trade anyway. Took the decision from me.

Quick answer: yes it helps you win now, but I wouldn't make the deal. Hoyt has a good chance to be a solid #2 and while I'm not as optimistic about Causey he should be a solid 2nd option out of the pen, or better if he gets lucky with control improves.
