Post by Dumbwop »

I need your help with this trade offer. This is a (Private/Speed League)

I have been offered:
Don Koch
Earl Ragland
John Wheeler
Dan Glenn
1974 Draft Pick Rd 3(STL)
1972 Draft Pick Rd 1(STL)

I would give up:
Buck Dean
Vic Higbe
Dan Citarella

Here is a link to my depth chart

Here is a link to the other owner's depth chart

And here is a link to my league's standings

Thanks for the help,

Yeah, this is going in the wrong direction! LOL

You're rebuilding, so why would you want trade your best 3 prospects. I'd tell him you're not interested, and move on.

Actually, he was worried I would say yes. Thought it was a good trade(for him) going to change his entire outlook in the minors.

Looking at his minors, I don't think he has a good handle on the game. He has 15 CPs on Koch who is OS 21 with C+ in all of the hitting categories, and he has 6 on Wheeler. Wheeler can be a really nice hitter, at least vs. righties. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that this isn't an attempted predatory offer. I just think he doesn't understand how to project players.

Just for the heck of it is there anyone worth trading for. Something to counter with just to see if he will bite.

It is unlikely you could get something done, because anything you offered at the proper value would be so far off from what he is offering. Bostock is the only thing he has that would make sense for you to go after. That would cost you Higbe if I was the other owner. If you would rather have Bostock, you could offer it straight up. I believe that is fair, but I doubt he would do it. I also doubt I would do that if I was you.
