Just my 2 cents, from looking at other teams rosters it doesn’t give you enough talent to compete for a title. The return to me is too short for what you are giving up. A playoff second holds little value to me and the pitcher is 2 seasons away from declining so best case scenario is he declines gracefully and he is an Ace for 4 years with 1-2 more as a back end starter. Ultimately your decision but you sort of mortgage the future for a shot at the dance this year. Some of the other teams in your league are stacked but in this game the best teams do not always win.
