With Two weeks remaining until post season eligibility limits trade offers (at least for trade impact this season for potential playoff teams); thought I'd throw my hat in the ring regarding this season's trade summaries.
In the NL; perennial league leaders Montreal & Philadelphia are atop the division again in 1990 as they have been jointly since the 1987 season. Back in '86; NY Giants were atop the division with Milwaukee in 3rd. MIL was the league leader in 1985.
It's been a season of Top Rated Pitchers being dealt among a variety of teams mostly with those veterans ending up with teams in the Pennant Race.
To start the 1990 season; MIL and WAS got the trade activity started with WAS acquiring Vet SP Bill Freeman for MIL's 1st round pick and a prospect. Texas Wranglers followed up in June acquiring SP Sadayuki Sasaki from perennial AL powerhouse Anaheim. In July, the NY Giants acquired SP Johnny Wilson from WAS which shows Washington's' strength of player personnel as they were able to trade away an OS26 SP to acquire a 1st round pick and OS22 1B prospect all while being in the playoff race in the AL. Also in July; MIL acquired a couple young prospects as the NY Pioneers (not to be shown up by crosstown NY Giant's trade activities) gave their fans more postseason optimism as they acquired veteran LF Bryant & ace SP Terry Harman.
New owner Covid18 in Cincinnati didn't take long to get active as they traded away prized free agent SP Yoenny Lara to the NY Pioneers for SP pitching prospect Bob Kile and acquired NY's 1st round pick. GM in NY was quoted as saying "the Pioneers are built to win now and into the future; beefing up this rotation will make us tough to beat in 1990 and in the years ahead. Take note AL".
Outside of the major pitching moves MON & TB were active on the position player front working several deals early in the season. Turns out both GMs share rental property just a house apart in The Hamptons; so in an effort to limit cabin fever they worked out multiple deals on the porch while of course maintaining appropriate social distancing measures.
Texas and Brooklyn reached agreement as Texas shipped a couple prospects to Brooklyn for a well needed leadoff hitter. Harley Bedgood left the East Coast and headed down to the Gulf Coast.
What remaining trades will be out there over next couple weeks? 1991 draft list will be out tonight. Does that inspire some moves? WAS, MIL, and CIN each have two 1st round picks next year and MON is right behind with one first and a high 2nd round pick.
Good luck to all...

Excellent summary of the most recent moves. This is one of the most fun seasons (As the WAS owner it’s fun to be relevant a year earlier then I thought). Good luck to all, everyone is killin it, activity is awesome!
Re: League Trade News
My ears were burnin, so I thought I'd interject... any and all players 28 and older on Cincinnati's roster are available. I'm doing a limited rebuild, more like a restructure. I have several power hitters, and a few GG types available for pennant contenders who need a boost. I also have several A+ mentors for anyone who is rebuilding, or needs an extra mentor boost for a young player.
I love to trade.
I love to trade.
If only Spec Richardson had never been the Astros GM...

As I read this again Freeman is on his way to winning a Cy Young (pending no set backs). This season has been insane!
