How do you get rid of a player,on your roster, whose not eligible for waivers?

I have posted to the message board that a player is available for trade, wait to see if you get an offer or two (give it a day or two), then either take the best offer or start sending out offers to teams.

If it is an older red letter player you can bet a playoff team would want them as a depth guy, you might not get a big haul but a playoff second is about fair depending on the age/skills, you might have to kick in a third rounder to balance the trade.

In my experiece you have to be very proactive to move guys that are red letter but not real valuable (ie A+/B- pitchers)...

He basically did just what you said, made a deal, didn't get a haul but solved a roster issue and then other owners objected. Thankfully the trade was allowed to stand by vote.
