Welp, maybe I was wrong. This is because of the decent performance of pitchers when batting. What happens very often is that I'm in that situation and my pitcher comes to bat and I really need a hit, and I would have liked to pinch hit, but then the pitcher singles or triples and whathaveyou and I win the game, because this pitcher also offers better pitching than the replacement.

And very often happens that in the 8th or 9th a pinch hitter comes when I really need to hit and they strike out, and a replacement pitcher ruins the game by bad pitching, or I need to go to the 10th and such, tiring more pitchers...

In the long run, having pitchers bat instead of pinch hit for can have its advantages, specially if they're unaturally good, like those .200 OBP .200 SLG pitchers that sometimes are the only ones that score in a game o_o
