i have a catcher who is a- overall, and a- at catcher. he is now b+overall at catcher. he is not allowed to play catcher and now i cant change lineups. i play him at ss, 2b, rf as well. i thought you could start at catcher with c+rating

Reads right on his player card, "* League requires 75% rating to start at catcher."
He is below that %.

You have to get his catcher eligibility back and then you need to make sure he ONLY plays catcher from now on, or you are going to lose his catcher eligibility forever. It does state right on his card that he has to be 75% to start at catcher.

Here's what you do:

Pick up a catcher from the waiver wire or trade for one and hope for the best. Sorry bro.

Your other option is ... a really terrible option. I'm not even going to try to break it down for you because regaining catcher eligibility for him is ridiculous. Sorry.

Could that player come into a game late as a sub and increase his C%?

You might try picking up a catchers with F health and leave them on the roster when they get injured. Then leave the B+ catcher on the bench and he most likely will get to catch.

When there are no eligible backup catchers available, ABE takes the first player available in this order: 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF

Since this guy has a primary position of RF, the only way you would ever get him to actually start as a catcher is if there were literally zero other healthy bench players on the roster. It isn't going to happen.

Sorry for your unfortunate loss of his eligibility.

Although it appears that you have him catching now, so evidently he never dropped all the way below 75% and you figured out that you needed to start him at catcher and eliminate his playing at any other position. Very nice.
