Double A- curse

Post by BarryOnyx »

I feel like a double A- should be a pretty good ballplayer, whether he's a hitter or a pitcher. Obviously better than B/A- or B+/A-. I feel like the double A- is a cursed grade however. I've noticed this in the past, but it seems to be especially true for my current team.

C A-/A- vrs R. Hitting .229/.287/.344
OF A-/A- vrs R. hitting .162/.238/.189 - admittedly in small sampling of at bats
SS A-/A- vrs L. hitting .115/.258/.115!!!!

and my closer
A-/A- 1.82 WHIP, 6.75 ERA

what the melons is going on here?

Yes, I agree, plus I've seen A- B+, B+ A- and B+ B+ players outperform the A- A-s, and the last case can't be explained away.
