The streak is over

Post by heinerkin »

I know this isn't a real league, none of us pay to play here. But I was kinda proud of 23 straight winning seasons. That over now. But, maybe I need to go through a rough stretch, because those 23 seasons resulted in exactly zero championships and only one World Series appearance.

Pretty cool, it is a beta league, but sometimes I'm more interested in it than in any other league.
So I took a look at my own record history: I've been in this league for 157 season, 154 winning season, 1 81-81 season and 2 loosing season (one of them was our first season).

The lack of competition makes for some interesting stats and streaks. Over here in the AL East (admittedly the weakest division in most of the time I've been here), I've had a stretch of 30 straight, and a 40 straight seasons of winning 100 or more games.

Well, now you've got me looking. I'm in that terrible AL East with Bill, but Boston was a +.500 club from:
1962-2003 (41 seasons)
2067-last year 2121 (54 seasons and counting).

Seattle had a 2150-2109 run (59 seasons) and started another one two years later in 2111 through this year.

But femgo had the right of it:
but sometimes I'm more interested in it than in any other league

WAS has a current streak of 66 straight years of over .500 from 2056-present. I think I can keep it going for a while longer too. Having 3 inactive teams in the division makes rebuilding difficult anyways so might as well keep trying to compete.
