150 RBI's has been topped 30 times in the beta league. Fred "The Demon" Beamon who achieved the feat for the second time in his career this year, made me curious about how many players have eclipsed the 150 RBI plateau in their career. Here are the findings, note that Beamon is the only one not to do it in consecutive years except for Ralph Bay who managed the feat 3 times:
Player Frequency Team Years
Ralph Bay 3 Cleveland 1978, 1979, 1982 *Back to back + (one season leader 179!)
Bud Perez 2 NY Junkballers 2067 and 2068 (eclipsed 170 both times) * Back to back
Don Wheelock 2 Washington 1990 and 1991 * Back to back
Fred Beamon 2 St L Braves 2079 and 2084
Hal Korince 2 Miami 1971 and 1972 * Back to back
James Garrett 2 Houston 1957 and 1958 * Back to back
