Playoffs 2085

Post by Beanballs »

Looks like over here in the NL we meet Houston in the NLCS, who tied with us head to head but we won the run differential, still they have home field advantage. Is this correct?

Congrats and good luck to Houston in the series!

A fun fact, for the 8th time in the history of the 2TL the Morleins made the playoffs without an All-Star, heck we didn't have anyone on the entire All-Star page (the voters don't like my managerial settings)...

That's a mind boggling stat! Just shows that you have some great settings.

Also probably means you have some good players in your division. I'd like to see you do that in the AL East! It's sometimes harder to not make the all-star team than to make it.

Yeah, I could do it! I usually have someone younger pinch hitting late for a veteran no matter the score (you just have to line up a young guy to a veteran), keeps the stats accumulators down and keeps me developing young guys...

OK, maybe the for the hitters. What about the pitchers? You can rack up some seriously good pitching stats against AL East.

Yes, with only two (apparently) active managers in the AL East, even **terrible** pitchers wind up as All Stars and the good pitchers end up with HOF statistics.

I like to abuse my relievers:

And I am the only owner in the 2TL to never have a Fireman award winner, and usually pull all pitchers after 7 innings (I like to get relievers work in regular season), usually rotating starters between the pen and rotation.

We need to get Chris to switch those team to betauser...

I've had 2 owners lined up for teams in the AL, but Chris has ignored me both times I've asked.

Man, Title # 20 is becoming extremely elusive for the Senators! We just got dispatched easily in 5 games. I know our best hitter was hurt, but still...10 straight WS losses!
