Tie Breaker for wild card

Post by CCondardo »

If teams are tied for 3/4th place, how is the playoff spot determined?

Looks like a single game tiebreaker.

Sorry. Misunderstood. There is no tiebreaker game for seeding. It goes to season-wide head-to-head record I think. Toronto won 7 vs. Boston's 5 in the head-to-head; Toronto is the 3rd seed against NYA and Boston gets the 4th seed against Los Angeles (A).

When I posed this, there were 3 teams vying for 2 spots in the playoffs. I was wondering if there was a tie between the last 2 how it would choose who gets in.

Oh, I see. It would have been a play-in tie breaker game in that case.
