Trick Plays

Have you ever considered allowing trick plays? Ex., flea flickers, WR reverse, HB pass, etc.?

They will come when we have control over playbooks. The issue of course is that the owner needs precise control over this, because if a trick play fails in a critical situation and there is randomness involved it will lead to unhappy owners. Also, overuse of trick plays could be used to throw a game. So lots of balancing and testing to be done there.

What I mean about "control over playbooks" is this: Right now you can select, say, Medium Sideline Pass. The sim will randomly pick which sideline and which receiver to build the play. You could go in and select specific plays that would appear in that playbook, so if you didn't want your TE to be a primary receiver in these plays you would take them out of that playbook.

Following up on this for the playbook control. This was 2 years ago. J/W if that update is still in the works or no?

Literally being coded now. It will come in two parts; one will be a basic level where you can determine how often a particular type of play is run (by receiver/carrier, so you'd specify by X, Y, Z, S, H, F or ball carrier by HB, FB or QB), and later selecting the actual plays.The number of offense formations supported by the game is being increased from the current 3 to about 50,000 (although probably less than 5000 are actually useful).
