Brooklyn Cyclone pitcher Gil Gomez threw a no-hitter against the hapless LA Quakes, currently mired in a 21 game losing streak. Gomez's teammate Jeff Quinones pitched a no-hitter against the Quakes last season, on July 10. Quinones' no-hitter was the first for Brooklyn since Bill Huntsman accomplished the feat back in 2079. The Cyclones had 3 no-hitters in the 70's but none in the 80's. Huntsman, 43, was the winner of 225 games in his career and retired after the 2092 season, sent his congratulations.
