Herculean effort by Maisel

In a 2-1 marathon 16 inning victory over Chicago, Boston pitcher Jim Maisel went 14.1 innings giving up just 1 run and striking out 13 batters before being pulled in the 15th inning. Although he didn't get the decision, Boston management wants to acknowledge the incredible performance!

Broad shoulders does Maisel have! My favorite parts about baseball, are the parts that allow for things like this to happen. 14 innings!! Wwooww!!
